#1 – MEN’S WORTH IS WRAPPED UP IN LOOKS
Instead of men’s worth being deeply rooted in who Christ says they are and in being accepted just the way they are by Christ. Mens worth is slowly more and more starting to become externally influenced by superficial influences of the world such as: movies, possessions, job titles, who they are dating, how popular they are, media, magazines, and the way their body looks.
As a result men put more worth in chasing the wrong things. Instead of chasing discipleship, humility, and Christ-centered

#5 – SUBJECTIVE TOPICAL VIEW VS. OBJECTIVE EXEGETICAL VIEW
How we study the bible and the lens in which we chose to study the bible greatly effects the hope, strength and proper understanding that we derive from our personal times of reading. A big contributor to the reason why christian men are not growing up to be like be strong, mature, discerning disciples of Christ, is directly related to the way we are being taught to study the bible, which is becoming diametrically different from the way that we studied scripture even a 100 years ago.
The two schools of biblical study:
An objective perspective is one that is not influenced by emotions, opinions, or personal feelings – it is a perspective based in fact, in things quantifiable and measurable. A subjective perspective is one open to greater interpretation based on personal feeling, emotion, aesthetics, etc.

#7 – SECULAR THINKING
Many churches are abandoning the true crucified and resurrected truth of the full gospel of Jesus Christ and in place of it they are substituting the power of Jesus with the power of secular, worldly thinking
#8 – SCIENCE OVER THEOLOGY:
August Comte, the founder of sociology introduces his philosophy and observation towards societies suggesting that every society goes through three cultural shifts. The philosophy that he introduces and records is called; The Positive Philosophy. In this philosphy, Comte explains the three cultural and societal shifts as being: Theological, Meta-physical, and Scientifical. In short, his explanation represents that there is often shifts in society where we believe in theology as our main foundation for all human thought. Meaning, theology governs our thinking over meta-physical or scientifical ideas.
No doubt this observation was observed in a culture when the catholic church was slowly becoming warped by men wanting to use the catholic church and theology as political power over the people. Meaning, the catholic church held the political power and had a monopoly on theology. As time shifted and the church lost it’s politcal power, theology became more silent, with less political influence. Thus, people started to wonder away from putting stock in theology and letting it govern there thinking because it was not governing their government. As a result the next stage became the naturalistic way of thinking in which everything in life is explained by nature, rather then the idea of a God controlling or orchestrating everything.
The next is scientifically.
Comte suggested that the scientifical stage was the stage where we arrive and where we create a perfect societal kingdom in which we find the answers to fix all societal problems. However, comte’s arguement is disproved when years later we still see conflict, war and trouble in the world. Thus showing us that the scientifical model is not a unsustainable model. It’s has it’s own weakness. Through culture we shift from each three of these models.
