Purity can often times be a foreign word in our sex-crazed and sex-obsessed culture where easier and more accesbile technological advances and entertainment advances continue to cluttered our cultural context.

The Purity Pledge is a project I designed months ago after talking with many people struggling with staying pure in a dirty culture. It started off, as my own struggle, then it morphed into helping others achieve the victory I fought hard to achieve, then eventually as the numbers grew. I tried to build some resources to help counter-act this trend, give people practical answers and I started to blog on it weekly.

Following, this, the popularity for it took off and shocked me how much there was a need for it, so I built a whole campaign, but then it grew too quick and I no longer had the time to keep up. Eventually, I reduced it to a simple challenge and continued to blog on the issue, while blogging on other topics also.

Now, the purity pledge is simply a challenge, for people who want to stay pure for Christ. Community and who we have around us is a huge success factor that can be the biggest catalyst of change. Let’s fight together and strive toward purity.

Take the challenge today.

It’s simple. You decide to take the challenge for your own Holiness, and your own personal benefit, while honouring Christ. The goal is to bring a few trusted friends into the challenge with you to keep you accountable. The way to do this is to abstain from anything that hinders from staying pure for Christ to eventually build strong habits that support a life-long goal of staying happily pure.

I will continue and try to blog on it to give you resources. Also, feel free to contact me personally, and I can help point you in the right direction and tell you what has and has not worked for me.

Stand up for yourself today, dive in, obey God and take the pledge to stay pure! Trust me, you will not regret it!

Do you not know that  your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never! Or do you not know that he who is joined  to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For, as it is written,  “The two will become one flesh.”  But he who is joined to the Lord  becomes one spirit with him.  Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin  a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person  sins against his own body.  Or  do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God?  You are not your own,   for you were bought with a price.  So glorify God in your body.”
